Winlock School Board Vacancy – District 5

Are you passionate about education and committed to making a difference in your community?

The Winlock School District is accepting applications to fill a vacancy for the District 5 Board Member position. If you are a registered voter residing in District 5, you are eligible to apply and help shape the future of our schools.

Application Requirements:

Winlock School District is seeking applications from residents of the District interested in being appointed to committees to write the “for” and “against” statements for the Lewis County Local Voters’ Pamphlet related to the District’s Educational Programs and Operations Replacement Levy to be considered at the April 22, 2025 election. Interested residents should send their name, address, email address, phone number and committee name (or which position they represent) to: Michelle Jeffries, Superintendent, Winlock School District, PO Box 128, Winlock, WA 98596, or via email at mjeffries@winlock.wednet.edu by 12:00 noon on February 19, 2025. The Board will take action on the appointments at its February 19, 2025 board meeting. Contact information for individuals appointed by the Board may be listed in the local voters’ pamphlet. Tonight is the last game for MS girls' basketball. Game time is 5:00 PM vs. Wahkiakum.

Our district soccer game that was scheduled for Wednesday against Ocosta will be forfeited by Winlock. We do not have enough girls to play due to injuries, poor grades, and multiple students violating our student/ athlete code of conduct. This officially concludes our girls' soccer season.

Thursday's football game against Toledo has been canceled. We do not have enough healthy and eligible players. The homecoming dance will still happen on Saturday, and school spirit activities are being moved to another time that works with our sports programs. Thank you for understanding.
